I first learned about Tolak Angin through my Indonesian friend, Sarah.

She handed me a small packet — a gentle gesture of care.

In Indonesian, “Tolak Angin” means

“to block the wind that seeps into the body.”

A herbal drink made to keep one’s warmth inside.

Each sip feels like wearing another layer —

soft, comforting, and full of quiet kindness.

The air has grown colder lately,

and I find myself thinking of her warmth —

wondering if she’s doing well,

and hoping the wind hasn’t found her either.
